RESOLUTION NO. 85-2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION <br />FOR A FLORIDA SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT TO CREATE VIABLE COMMUNITIES BY PRO- <br />VIDING DECENT HOUSING AND SUITABLE LIVING ENVI- <br />RONMENT AND EXPANDING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES, <br />PRINCIPALLY FOR PERSONS OF LOW AND MODERATE <br />INCOME. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />•- County has reviewed this proposal and has received the recommen- <br />dation from the Executive Director of the Indian River County <br />Housing Authority, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman <br />and the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized <br />to execute the attached application to the State of Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs for a Florida Small Cities <br />Community Development Block Grant. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Scurlock <br />*hn moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Bird and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Patrick B. Lyons Aye <br />Vice Chairman Don C.
