MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, to approve staff's <br />recommendation as set out in the Memorandum. <br />When Community Development Director Bob Keating asked, the <br />Board indicated they did not wish to invite the Treasure Coast <br />Regional Planning Council Executive Director to a future Board <br />meeting to discuss issues. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion, <br />except for inviting the TCRPC Executive Director, <br />carried unanimously. <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT 018 - FOURTH OF TULY FIREWORKS <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 8, 1996: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: May 8, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIREFIGHTER'S REQUEST FOR <br />FUNDING OF FIREWORKS -BUDGET AMENDMENT 018 - <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Indian River County Firefighters are requesting $2,500 for the firework display for the "Fourth <br />of July Family Picnic" to be held at Riverside Park. In the past, the Board of County <br />Commissioners approved funding for fireworks at Riverside only if they also funded Fourth of July <br />fireworks in Sebastian for the same amount. If the Board of County Commissioners approves <br />funding the fireworks, it will require $5,000 to fund both events ($2,500 each) which we are <br />recommending to be transferred from General Fund Contingencies. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget <br />amendment 018. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert the Board unanimously approved <br />Budget Amendment 018, ($2,500 for fireworks display <br />at Riverside Park and $2,500 for fireworks in <br />Sebastian) as recommended in the memorandum. <br />65 <br />May 149 1996 BOOK 98 pw 70' <br />
