UW -96 -02 -DS <br />RESOLUTIONS I AND II <br />On February 6, 1996, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved the petition for water service for Suburban <br />Acres Subdivision (34th Terrace, south of 8th Street) to supply <br />potable water to its residents. Design has been completed by the <br />Department of Utility Services' engineering staff. We are now <br />ready to begin the assessment process associated with this project. <br />(See attached agenda item and minutes of the above meeting.) <br />f <br />ANALYSIS <br />On 34th Terrace, 14 of the 16 platted lots are without access to <br />County water.- The 9 property owners signing the petition represent <br />66% of the properties to be served. The platted lots in this <br />project are one acre plus. The attached map displays.the area to <br />benefit from the assessment project. Attached are Resolutions I <br />and II for the project. The total estimated cost to be assessed is <br />$43,637.03. The estimated cost per square foot is $0.0619363. <br />This project is to be funded through the assessment of property <br />owners along the proposed water line route. In the interim, <br />financing will be through the use of impact fee funds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached resolutions, <br />which approve the preliminary assessment roll and establish the <br />public hearing date. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolutions No. 96-62 and 96-63 and scheduled the <br />public hearing for June 4, 1996, as recommended in <br />the memorandum. <br />91 <br />May 14, 1996 <br />BOOK 0-p PAE 96 <br />
