RESOLUTION NO. 85-122 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DEPART- <br />MENT TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THE STATE <br />BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION AND TO TRANSMIT <br />COUNTY FUNDS TO THE STATE BOARD OF <br />ADMINISTRATI.ON'S INVESTMENT POOL. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County from time to time has funds on <br />hand in excess of current needs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Indian <br />River County that funds be invested in such a manner as to yield the <br />highest return possible consistent with proper safeguards for the <br />handling of government funds, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. The Finance Director of. Indian River County, Edwin M. <br />Fry, Jr.., is hereby authorized to transmit such funds to the State <br />Board of Administration to be invested according to applicable laws <br />of the State of Florida consistent with the needs of Indian River <br />County. Furthermore, the Finance Director is authorized to withdraw <br />funds from the State Board of Administration in the name of Indian <br />River County by giving timely notice together with confirmation by <br />letter executed by the Finance Director and County Administrator, <br />Michael Wright. <br />2. That this authorization shall be continuing in nature <br />until revoked by the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Scurlock who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Wodtke and, being put to a vote, the vote <br />was as follows: <br />Chairman Patrick B. Lyons <br />Vice Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird <br />Commissioner William C. Wodtke <br />Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman <br />The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and <br />-1- <br />
