Szpyrka, P.E., Public Works Director <br />Kirstin Leiendecker, P.E., Assistant Public Works Director <br />FROM: Mark Winslow, P.E, Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Change Order No. 1— Release of Retainage <br />66th Avenue and 8th Street Signalization Improvements <br />IRC -2002 <br />DATE: February 21, 2023 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On December 14, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners awarded Bid No. 2022007 to <br />Ferreira Construction Southern Division Co., Inc. in the amount of $694,326.36 to construct <br />signalization improvements to the intersection of 66th Avenue and 8th Street that includes <br />traffic signal mast arm assemblies with all other appurtenances. Also included is milling and <br />resurfacing the intersection, signage, pavement markings and sod. <br />Change Order No. 1 makes final adjustments to contract bid items resulting in a decrease to <br />the total contract amount by $53,701.85 for a final cost of $640,624.51 and makes final <br />contract time adjustments. <br />Ferreira Construction Southern Division Co., Inc. has successfully completed the project and <br />has been paid $608,593.24 with $32,031.27 held in retainage.
