PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING APRIL 1 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2023, AS <br />WATER CONSERVATION MONTH <br />IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, water is a basic and essential need of every living creature; and <br />WHEREAS, The State of Florida, Water Management Districts and Indian River County are working <br />together to increase awareness about the importance of water conservation; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has designated April, typically a dry month when water demands are most <br />at their peak, Florida's Water Conservation Month, to educate citizens about how they can help save <br />Florida's precious water resources; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has always encouraged and supported water conservation, through <br />various educational programs; and <br />WHEREAS, every business, industry, school and citizen can make a difference when it comes to <br />minimizing their water usage; and <br />WHEREAS, every business, industry, school and citizen can help by doing their part to conserve water; <br />thereby, promoting a healthy economy and sustainable community; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, that the month of April 2023, be designated as WATER CONSERVATION MONTH in Indian River <br />County, and all citizens are encouraged to use this occasion to increase their awareness of the <br />importance of water conservation and the need to use water more efficiently. <br />Adopted this 4th day of April, 2023 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Joseph H.
