9/8/86 UTIL RRB/h <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-84 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN WATER <br />IMPROVEMENTS IN THE RIVER SHORES ESTATES <br />SUBDIVISION, PROVIDING THE TOTAL <br />ESTIMATED COST, METHOD OF PAYMENT OF <br />ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF ANNUAL <br />INSTALLMENTS AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF <br />AREA SPECIFICALLY SERVED. <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Utilities Department <br />has received a public improvement petition requesting water <br />improvements within the River Shores Estates Subdivision <br />along 12th Street, S.W., 12th Street, S.E., and 12th Place, <br />S.E.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Utilities Department <br />recognizes a need for water improvements within the River <br />Shores Estates Subdivision; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Public Health <br />Department has expressed concern regarding the safety and <br />quality of the existing drinking water resources within the <br />River Shores Estates Subdivision and has recommended public <br />water be provided to the Subdivision; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 81-27, the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County is authorized to <br />improve and establish services and water system improve- <br />ments, and is authorized to provide for payment of the whole <br />cost thereof by levying and collecting assessments upon <br />property deemed to benefit by such improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, conceptual design work including cost <br />estimates for construction of water improvements in the <br />River Shores Estates Subdivision has been completed by the <br />Indian River County Utilities Department and its contracted <br />engineering firm, Masteller and Moler Associates, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of the proposed water <br />improvements to the owners of property that will benefit <br />from the project is $162,868.76; and <br />-1- <br />
