RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN'S EXECUTION OF LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM (LAP) AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TRANS -FLORIDA RAILWAY TRAIL FROM FELLSMERE TO <br />WEST OF 1-95 PHASE 1 & 2 <br />WHEREAS, the construction of a Trans -Florida Railway Trail from Fellsmere to West of 1-95 is an <br />Indian River County priority project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is prepared to provide funds to pay a <br />portion of the cost for the construction of the 12 -foot Trail consisting of a coquina base and an asphalt <br />surface, approximately 1.4 miles long under the Local Agency Program (LAP); and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, has requested Indian River County <br />execute and deliver to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Local Agency Program <br />Agreement for the aforementioned project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to make, execute, and <br />deliver to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Local Agency Program Agreement for the <br />aforementioned project. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />follows: <br />Chairman Joseph H.
