Szpyrka, P.E., Public Works Director <br />Kirstin Leiendecker, P.E., Assistant Public Works Director <br />FROM: Jill Williams, Contract Support Specialist <br />SUBJECT: FDOT Transportation Regional Incentive Program (TRIP) Supplemental Agreement No. <br />1 and Resolution Authorizing the Chairman's Signature for CEI and Construction of 66th <br />Avenue from 69th Street to CR-510/85th Street (IRC -1505B) FM No. 436379-2-54-01 <br />DATE: April 25, 2023 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 14, 2022 the Board of County Commissioners approved a Transportation Regional Incentive Program <br />(TRIP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the CEI and Construction of 66th <br />Avenue from 691h Street to CR-510/85th Street in the amount of $7,000,000. The improvements include <br />widening and reconstruction of the existing roadway to a 4 -lane divided roadway section within the project <br />limits. Curb and gutter and a raised median will be provided. An 8' wide concrete sidewalk will be provided on <br />the west side of the roadway. Also included will be stormwater drainage improvement, pavement markings, <br />traffic signals and landscape and irrigation improvements. The estimated total cost for the project was <br />$15,708,271.04. The County's portion was estimated to be $8,708,271.04. <br />The FDOT has requested Indian River County execute and deliver Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to update <br />deliverables and CEI classifications necessary for the project. A Resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 1 is requested as well. No additional funding is required for this item. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding for the County's cost share in the amount of $8,708,271.04 is budgeted in the FY 22/23 budget and will <br />be funded through Traffic Impact Fees/District I, Acct# 10215141-066510-16009, Traffic Impact Fees 2020, <br />District 1, Acct# 10415141-066510-16009 and Optional Sales Tax, Acct# 31521441-066510-16009. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the Transportation Regional Incentive Program <br />(TRIP) Supplemental Agreement No. 1 and Resolution and authorize the Chairman to execute the same. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
