DeBraal, Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: May 10, 2023 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting Deed to Mike's Cut Rate Furniture Property <br />At its meeting of April 18, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved the purchase of <br />the property consisting of the former Mike's Cut Rate Furniture business for the Aviation <br />Boulevard expansion project. Staff has conducted a walk-through of the property and is awaiting <br />the completion of the Phase I Environmental report. No issues were observed during the walk- <br />through and staff does not anticipate any significant findings in the Phase I Environmental report. <br />The Seller's title company has requested the Board to provide a resolution authorizing the <br />acceptance of the Warranty Deed from the Seller and directing the deed be recorded in the Public <br />Records of Indian River County. The attached Resolution satisfies the request. <br />FUNDING: There is no expenditure of County funds associated with this matter. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Board approve the Resolution <br />authorizing the acceptance of the warranty deed and the real property described therein and <br />providing for the recording of the deed in the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida, for <br />the proposed Aviation Boulevard expansion project, and authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />Resolution on behalf of the Board. <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />Copies to: Richard B.
