I_] <br />• <br />January 18, 1999 <br />Pre -Bid Meeting Agenda For;. <br />CWERRYWQOD ESTATES WATER MAIN EXTENSION <br />UW -98 -06 -DS <br />Description of Project: Construction of approximately 36 L.F. 6" D.I.P., 780 <br />L.F. 6" PVC and 490 L.F. 4" PVC water main pipe in Ponderosa Estates <br />Subdivision located on 60th Avenue, south of 45th Street. The 6" pipe will be <br />mostly PVC with 36 L.F. of D.I.P. constructed over a drainage canal. The <br />project will include constructing 1 fire hydrants and 18 services. Construction <br />consists, but is not limited to, mobilization, video/audio recording, utilities <br />exploration, trenching, piping, testing, paving, restoration, compaction, <br />demobilization, insurance bonds, cleaning, providing as -built drawings, etc. <br />2. The water main will be constructed on the west side of 59th from a wet tap <br />and valve on the south side of 33rd Street, west of 58th Avenue. <br />s <br />3. Contractor should be aware that the subdivision has front swale drainage <br />(which is good for storm water quality but bad for constructing water mains <br />through in the rainy season). So, the contractor will be responsible for <br />making sure that 59th Avenue is Kept clean and trafficable and the trench -fine <br />is restored as soon as possible. <br />4. All DIP must be wrapped in polyethylene liners unless contractor can provide <br />an acceptable corrositivity test report indicating that liner is not required. <br />5. Existing grade of swales must be measured at 100' interval, relative to the <br />elevation of road crown, prior to commencement of construction. <br />6. An Indian River County Right -Of -Way permit is required for work performed <br />in county right-of-ways. All water meters must be extended at least 2' outside invert of swale. <br />8. Water services must be at least 3' under pavement. <br />9.
