Based on the above analysis, staff recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the final plat for The Laurels Phase <br />II Subdivision, and authorize the Chairman to execute such <br />contracts for either the construction of remaining required <br />improvements or maintenance of required improvements if no <br />improvements remain to be constructed, as determined by the Office <br />of the County Attorney prior to the recording of the plat. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the final plat for The Laurels Phase II Subdivision, <br />as recommended by staff. <br />G. Florida Department of Corrections - Annual Contract <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of June 4, 1996: <br />-DATE: June 4, 1996 <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />THRU: James E. Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: H.T. "Sonny" Dean, Director <br />Department of General Services <br />SUBJECT: Florida Department of Corrections - Annual Contract <br />BACKGROUND: <br />For several years Indian River County has contracted with Indian River Correctional Institution a annual <br />contract to provide a certain labor force on a daily basis. The current contract is scheduled to expire June <br />30, 1996. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The attached proposed contract is basically the same each year. Staff recommends approval and requests <br />authorization for the Chairman to execute said contract <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Interagency/Public Works Agreement with the <br />Florida Department of Corrections, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />6001( 98 PAU 300 <br />JUNE 119 1996 10 <br />
