Proclamation Designating Amateur Radio Week <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has more than 300 licensed Amateur <br />Radio operators who have demonstrated their value in <br />public assistance by providing emergency radio communi- <br />cations; and <br />WHEREAS, these Amateur Radio operators donate their services free <br />of charge to the County, in the interest of the citizens <br />of the county as well as the world; and <br />WHEREAS, the Amateur Radio operators are on alert for any <br />emergency, local or worldwide, and practice their <br />communication skills during the American Radio Relay <br />League's Field Day exercise; and <br />WHEREAS, this year the Amateur Radio Field Day will take place on <br />June 22-23, 1996: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Indian River County Board <br />of County Commissioners that the week of June 16 - 23, <br />1996 be designated as <br />AMATEUR RADIO WEEK <br />in recognition of this important preparedness exercise. <br />Dated this 11 day of June, 1996. <br />A Approval of Warrants <br />BOARD.OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Fran B.
