40 <br />1-1 <br />_�„ �, ]I]yE44SagxY }e[YPMOi epv <br />VVV INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />EXPERIMENTAL TEST PLAN/MONITORING <br />OF VERO BEACH PEP REEF <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />SEA TURTLE MONITORING <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this z-! day of mei , 1999, by and <br />between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a ,political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter <br />referred to as the COUNTY, and Christine Perretta ,hereinafter referred to as the <br />CONSULTANT, <br />WITNESSETH <br />The COUNTY and the CONSULTANT in consideration of their mutual covenants, <br />herein agree with respect to the performance of professional services by the CONSULTANT <br />and the payment for those services by the COUNTY as set forth below. <br />The CONSULTANT shall provide Biological Monitoring (Sea Turtle Monitoring) of the <br />Indian River County, Vero Beach PEP Reef, professional biological recommendations, <br />preparation of monitoring reports and data, and additional related miscellaneous services to <br />the COUNTY and shall give advice to the COUNTY during the performance of the services <br />to be rendered hereunder. <br />SECTION I - SCOPE OF WORK <br />The CONSULTANT shall provide experienced, technical and professional field and <br />laboratory/office personnel to perform the necessary sea turtle monitoring services, data <br />analysis, professional recommendations and other miscellaneous services set forth in the <br />Florida DEP permit. The County Coastal Engineer shall act as the duly authorized agent of the <br />COUNTY for ordering and directing said work. The consultant shall obtain and maintain <br />during the life of this agreement, proper certification from the State of Florida DEP and <br />USFWLS to monitor, relocate, and inventory turtle activity within the project limits, as needed. <br />Christine Perretta will superviselperform the work as necessary. The COUNTY must approve <br />all personnel performing the work. <br />SECTION 11 - TIME OF COMPLETION AND DURATION OF AGREEMENT <br />The Services of this AGREEMENT will begin upon execution of contract and extend <br />until receipt of the final report for the 1999 nesting season. <br />SECTION III - COMPENSATION <br />Compensation to the CONSULTANT for the services herein shall be on a percentage <br />basis for the actual work performed in accordance with the Schedule of Services and Fees set <br />forth in Exhibit "B". <br />I <br />
