RESOLUTION 2023 - <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALKS AND <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF EXISTING SIDEWALKS ALONG 43RD AVENUE FROM 45TH <br />STREET TO 49TH STREET FOR THE 2023 TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM <br />(TAP) APPLICATION FOR THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) <br />WHEREAS, the sidewalk construction and reconstruction along 43rd Avenue from 45th Street <br />to 491h Street is an Indian River County priority project; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 8, 2023, the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization <br />(MPO) Board approved this project as the applicable Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) <br />project on their List of Priority Projects (LOPP); and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation has requested Indian River <br />County submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, this Resolution of Support for <br />the 2023 TAP application; and <br />WHEREAS, the improvements of the project are located within Indian River County right-of- <br />way of 43rd Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: <br />1. That the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to sign and submit to the State of <br />Florida, Department of Transportation, a Resolution of Support for the 43rd Avenue <br />sidewalk project. <br />2. That maintenance of improvements that are constructed will be maintained by Indian <br />River County once completed. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner who moved its <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner and, upon being put to a <br />vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Joseph H. Earman <br />Vice Chairman Susan Adams <br />Commissioner Joseph E.
