Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus, Authorization for Disposition <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. As <br />previously authorized by the Board, the items will be sold by online auction and funds received <br />from the sale of these items will be returned to the appropriate accounts. <br />The list includes eight Panasonic Toughbook laptops the Board had previously authorized:to be <br />donated to the City of North Port Fire Rescue District, which staff has learned they are no <br />longer interested in. <br />Three items on the list were left behind at the Daisy Hope Center, are now County property, <br />and have been recommended for donation to the music program' at Treasure Coast Elementary <br />School. This includes two electric pianos and an electric keyboard. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the County associated with these requests. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board declare the items listed on the 050223 Excess List as Surplus, <br />authorize their disposal as indicated, including the donation of music equipment to Treasure <br />Coast Elementary School. <br />ATTACHMENT: <br />Excess List for 050223 <br />32 <br />
