RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 044 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, MODIFYING RESOLUTION 2011-072 <br />APPOINTING THE COMMISSION OFFICE AS THE MONITOR OF <br />COMMITTEES. <br />WHEREAS, On September 13, 2011, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners ("Board") adopted Resolution 2011-72 reestablishing the terms of members of certain <br />boards and committees and establishing a process to monitor terms in the future; <br />WHEREAS, per Resolution 2011-072, the Board appointed the County Attorney as the <br />Monitor of Committee terms; <br />WHEREAS, the County Attorney does not regularly attend most boards and committees; <br />WHEREAS, the Commission Office has been expanded to include five commission assistants, <br />who regularly attend the board and committee meetings; <br />WHEREAS, the Board wishes to transfer the Monitor responsibilities back to the Commission <br />Office. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. The Board wishes to modify Resolution 2011-072 by appointing the Commission Office to serve as <br />the Monitor of Committee terms going forward. <br />2. All other provisions of Resolution 2011-072 shall remain in full force and effect. <br />This Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner F l e s the r , and the motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner. E a r m a n , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />2023. <br />Chairman Joseph H. Earman AYE <br />Vice Chairman Susan Adams AYE_ <br />Commissioner Joseph E.
