40 <br />40 <br />Year 2000 Upgrade <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />Jessica Telephone interconnect <br />J.rNU aY27,1999 <br />Your EDACS product is equipped with a Jessica Telephone interconnect. One component <br />of Jessica is the Ericsson MD -1 10 PBX telephone switch. The time and date iinfonnation <br />internal to the MD -1 10 is not Year 2040 Ready as to such by itself, PRS is proposing to <br />upgrade your MD -110 component from its present hardware and software package, that <br />is Software release BC7.2 or older, to the Year 2000 Ready BC9 hardware and software <br />package. This upgrade provides a hardware migration from the existing 8 Bit processor <br />platform to a 32 processor and provides the Year 2000 Ready BC9 software -operating <br />package. PRS is proposing the following upgrades. <br />Jessica Interconnect <br />• 32 Bit processor MD -I 10 upgrade package <br />■ BC9 MD -110 Software Package <br />THIS PROPOSAL DOES NOT ADDRESS YEAR 2000 READINESS ISSUES FOR <br />YOUR DATA APPLICATION SOFTWARE, IF ANY. <br />Terminal Products. <br />Throughout the years of EDACS system production, PRS has produced a large variety or <br />Terminal Products. While several of these "Terminal Products are no longer in production, <br />they slay still be in use today. PRS has identified those Terminal Products that PRS will <br />be able to classify as Covered Products for use with the other PRS Year 2000 Rcady <br />Covered Products. While there may be occasions when PRS Excluded Terminal <br />Products, not identified on the list below, may work with PRS Year 2000 Covered <br />Products, PRS cannot recommend the continued operation or P[tS Excluded Terminal <br />Products. <br />Each EDACS "Terminal Product operates with two sets of PRS software. Set one is the <br />"Plash Code" and set two is the "Personality Coale".
