Sewer service for the proposed <br />project will be provided by the north county regional wastewater treatment plant, which has a <br />remaining capacity of 482,777 gallons/day. Indian River County's potable water and wastewater <br />treatment plants have adequate capacity to serve the proposed CDBG-ED Project as of the date <br />of this letter, This letter does not guarantee that there will be capacity availability at the time that <br />the project is really to connect to the county's water and wastewater facilities. <br />Certification of Conformance With Zoning and Planning Requirements <br />The proposed CDBG-ED Project is located in the RM -6, Multiple Family Residential (up to 6 <br />unim'acre) zoning district. In that zoning district, assisted living facilities (ALF) are permitted <br />as a special exception use. A special exception use is defined in the county's Land Development <br />Regulations as a use that would not be appropriate generally or without restriction throughout a <br />zoning district but which, if controlled as to number, area, location, or relation to the <br />neighborhood, would promote the public health, safety, welfare, morals, order, comfort. <br />convenience, appearance, prosperity, and the general welfare.
