dM <br />AGREEMENT <br />between <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />and <br />SPILLIS CANDELA AND PARTNERS, INC. <br />for Renovation Work at Sheriffs Office <br />This Agreement, entered into this day of1999 by <br />and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subof the State of <br />Florida (County) and SPILLIS CANDELA AND PARTNERS, INC. (Architect); <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the County entered into a contract with the Architect looking <br />toward the construction of a new County Administration Building; and <br />WHEREAS, the County now needs a redesign of the Sheriff's Office; and <br />WHEREAS, the Architect is already under contract with the County; and <br />WHEREAS, from a time and cost standpoint it would be in the public <br />interest to have the Architect provide this additional service; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms, conditions, <br />promises, covenants and premises hereinafter set forth, the County and <br />Architect agree as follows: <br />I. Contract <br />The basic contract of May 26, 1999 between the County and the <br />Architect shall govern any provision not specifically provided herein. <br />II. Scone of Work <br />A. The Architect will design and draw the interiors retrofit of the <br />Sheriff's Office as depicted on Sheet 1 of 1, dated April 18, 1997, by C. E. <br />Block. The documents produced will allow the County to obtain a building <br />permit for the required work. <br />B. In addition, the Architect will produce the documents necessary <br />to allow for three additional overhead doors and five screen replacements with <br />operable windows at the Sheriff's vehicle maintenance facility. This work is <br />generally depicted on Drawing 1 of 1, dated December 1997, by C. E. Block. <br />C. The Architect will not be involved during the constrtiction phase <br />except to answer phone or written questions. <br />
