41999agrPWD(TOBORT) <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY 99 -1 «' <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br />COASTAL ENGINEERING DIVISION <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT - <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BEACH PRESERVATION PLAN <br />GINEER[ N_GdESIGN <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 7,:;l day of 1999 by and <br />between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of t iv State of Florida, hereinafter <br />referred toas the COUNTY, and APPLIED TECHNOLOGY & MANACEMENT, INC., 2770 NW <br />43RD STREET, SUITE B, GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA, hereinafter referred to as the <br />CONSULTANT, <br />WVTNIr�SS FT�TE <br />The COUNTY and the CONSULTANT, in consideration of their mutual covenants, <br />herein agree with respect to the performance of professional services in coastal engineering, <br />and other related services by the CONSULTANT and the payment for those services by the <br />COUNTY as set forth below. <br />TheC:ONSULTANT shall provide professional coastal engineering and related services <br />to the COUNTY in all phases as described in the scope of service's, serve as the COUNTY'S <br />professional representative and shall ,give professional advice to the COUNTY during the <br />performance of the services to be renderer!. <br />SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS <br />The project limits shall include, but is not lim0mi to, the entire County and associated <br />municipalities. Basic services required of the CONSULTANT for the project will be <br />described in other appropriate sections of this Agreement. <br />SECTION II COUNTY OBLIGATIONS <br />The COUNTY agrees to provide the following material, data, or services as require(] <br />in connection with the work to be performed under this Agreement - <br />A. Provide the CONSULTANT with copies of the Beach Preservation Plan, other <br />related reports, survey data, aerial photography and related documents. <br />B. Provide the CONSULTANT with all available drawings, reaps, and other <br />documents in the possession of the COUNTY pertinent to the project. <br />C. The COUNTY shall be responsible for acquiring all easements, right-of-ways, <br />and other rights of land as necessary for the project. <br />D. The COUNTY shall be responsible for obtaining any permits required to <br />complete the work, if any such permits are established by regulatory agencies <br />after the date of execution of this Agreement. <br />E. The COUNTY shall make provisions for the CONSULTANT to enter upon <br />public or private property as required. <br />SECTION III - SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The CONSULTANT agrees to perform professional coastal engineering, and other <br />related services in connection with the project as required and set forth in the following: <br />• Complete a County -Wide Offshore Sand Search Investigation <br />• Conduct an Environmental Assessment <br />
