Zito, Assistant County Administrator <br />Beth Powell, Director Parks and Recreation <br />From: Joseph Tilton, Recreation Manager <br />Subject: Work Order Number 2— Continuing Engineering Services REQ 2023015— <br />Intergenerational Recreation Center Dick Bird Park Improvements <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January, 17, 2023, the Interim County Administrator, Michael Zito, under his authority, signed <br />Work Order Number 4, pursuant to the Continuing Services Contract Agreement dated April 17, <br />2018 (renewed and amended on May 18, 2021) RFQ 2018008 for the conceptual design of <br />improvements at the Dick Bird Regional Park in the amount of $3,300. Work included concept <br />planning and a pre -application meeting with the County to discuss proposed park improvements. <br />That Work Order was completed and a concept plan has been provided for formal design services. <br />Due to the expiration of the existing Continuing Services Contract (RFQ 2018008), a new Work <br />Order is proposed utilizing the RFQ 2023015, approved by the Board of County Commissioners on <br />May 2, 2023. This Work Order Number 2 will provide for the design and engineering services <br />necessary for the construction of a fitness station, pavilion, walking trail, and stormwater for <br />improvements outlined in the Capital Improvements associated with the Intergenerational <br />Recreation Center Dick Bird Park Improvements. Engineering services associated with this work <br />order include: Surveying Services, Engineering Design & Preparation of Construction Plans, Minor <br />Site Plan Approval, Permitting Assistance, Bidding Services and Specifications, and Construction <br />Administration Services for the Intergenerational Recreation Center Dick Bird Park Improvements. <br />Fees associated with this work order are outlined in the attached Scope of Work. <br />149 <br />0 <br />
