AMENDMENT 1 TO WORK ORDER 8 <br />PROJECT NAME: HCP Sea Turtle Monitoring 2023 — North and South County <br />This Amendment Number 1 to Work Order Number 8 is entered into as of this 15 day of Augu s t <br />2023 , pursuant to that certain Continuing Contract Agreement for Environmental and Biological Support <br />Service, dated October 10"', 2017, renewed on October 15, 2019 and renewed a second time on October 5, <br />2021 for an additional 2 years, referred to as the ("Agreement"), by and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a <br />political subdivision of the State of Florida ("COUNTY") and Ecological Associates, Inc., ("Consultant"). <br />1. The COUNTY has selected the Consultant to perform the professional services set fourth in existing Work <br />Order 8, executed February 13, 2023. <br />2. The COUNTY and the Consultant desire to amend this Work Order as set forth on Exhibit A (Scope of Work) <br />attached to this Amendment and made part hereof by this reference. An increase to the total contract <br />amount of $8,409.50 is needed to address the additional nest marking and monitoring activities <br />performed by the Consultant due to higher than anticipated sea turtle nesting activity on the beaches <br />within Indian River County. These additional nest markings were performed in accordance with the fee <br />schedule set forth in Exhibit B (Fee Schedule), in accordance with the terms and provisions set forth in the <br />Agreement. <br />3. From and after the Effective Date of this Amendment, the above -referenced Work Order is amended as <br />set forth in this Amendment.
