Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator <br />DATE: June 15, 2023 <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County Subaward and Grant Agreement for Hurricane Nicole <br />FROM: Kristin Daniels <br />Director, Office of Management & Budget <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On November 10, 2022, Hurricane Nicole made landfall as a Category 1 storm in Vero Beach, <br />Florida. Hurricane Nicole caused over $1 billion in damages along its track with an estimated $2 <br />million, excluding beach and dune damage, in Indian River County alone. <br />In order to receive Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reimbursement, Indian <br />River County is required to sign the Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement. The <br />agreement is standard for all recipients. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement <br />and all other documents necessary to effectuate the agreement and authorize the County <br />Administrator to sign any additional modifications. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement <br />99 <br />
