Tuesday June 25, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in County Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero <br />Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, June 25, 1996, at 9:00 a.m. Present <br />were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; <br />Richard N. Bird; Kenneth R. Macht; and John W. Tippin. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and County Attorney <br />Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition of nominations for <br />the William G. Bell Award and Urban Transportation Coordinator of <br />the Year (13.B.). <br />Commissioner Macht requested the addition of Old Courthouse <br />and Annex (13.D.1.) and Wal-Mart parking lot (13.D.2.). <br />Chairman Adams requested the addition of the following: <br />Brevard County proposed landfill site (13.A.1.); A -1-A signs <br />(13.A.2.); Artificial fishing reef off Sebastian Inlet (13.A.3.); <br />and Budget Workshop Dates (13.A.4.). <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />added the above items to the Agenda. <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COASTAL ENGINEER <br />IN <br />Chairman Adams introduced the County's new Coastal Engineer, <br />Jeff Tabar, who is using space at the Health Department. <br />1 <br />June 25, 1996 BOOK 98 FArE 400 <br />A <br />
