CONSENT AGENDA <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET <br />PURCHASING DIVISION <br />DATE: July 28, 2023 <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THROUGH: John Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />PREPARED BY: Shelby Ball, Purchasing Specialist <br />SUBJECT: Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus and Authorization for <br />Disposal and Donation <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. Items <br />will be sold via online auction as previously authorized by the Board, and funds received from <br />the sale of these items will be returned to the appropriate accounts. <br />Additionally, the School District of Indian River County is interested in accepting donation of the <br />following surplus items that were left at the Dasie Hope Center: <br />(45) Molded Plastic Chairs - Burgundy <br />(18) Molded Plastic Chairs - Green <br />(18) Student Desks <br />(1) Commercial Mixer <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the County associated with these requests. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board declare the items on the Excess List for 081523 Agenda as surplus, <br />and authorize their disposal, and authorize the donation of the items listed above to the School <br />District. <br />ATTACHMENT: <br />Excess List for 081523 <br />193 <br />
