Szpyrka, P.E., Public Works Director <br />Kirstin Leiendecker, P.E., Assistant Public Works Director <br />FROM: Rob Skok, Infrastructure Project Manager <br />SUBJECT: North County Library Expansion, IRC -2009 <br />Final Payment, Release of Retainage and Change Order No. 1 <br />DATE: August 29, 2023 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On April 12, 2022 the Board of County Commissioners awarded Bid No. 2022021 to Proctor <br />Construction Company, LLC. in the amount of $1,865,456.10 for a 2,800 -square foot addition to the <br />North County Library to modify the existing story room and expand it into a makerspace/STEAM Lab, <br />provide for two small conference rooms and other ancillary improvements to support the expansion. <br />Change Order No. 1 is to make final adjustments to contract bid items for a decrease to the total <br />contract price by $137,923.78 for a final cost of $1,727,532.32 and make final contract time <br />adjustments. <br />Proctor Construction Company, LLC. has successfully completed the project and has been paid <br />$1,638,838.51, with $86,254.66 held in retainage. Proctor Construction Company, LLC. has submitted <br />Contractor's Application for Payment No. 13 for payment of $2,439.15 and release of retainage in the <br />amount of $86,254.66 for a total of $88,693.81. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding in the amount of $88,693.81 is budgeted and available from the following accounts: <br />Optional Sales Tax/North County Library <br />Account No. 31511271-066510-20027 <br />Expansion <br />$2,439.15 <br />Optional Sales Tax/North County <br />Account No. 315-206000-20027 <br />Library/Retainage - Proctor Construction <br />$86,254.66 <br />261 <br />
