Staff is also seeking input from the Board on the granting of a <br />nine-month extension to Republic Services at a 7% increase in current rate <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Proposal from Kessler Consulting Inc <br />Draft Agreement <br />Director of Utility Services Sean Lieske presented the Board with two items <br />related to the maintenance and operation (O&M) agreement with Republic <br />Services of Florida for the County's landfill and landfill gas system. The first was <br />regarding a sample agreement with Kessler Consulting, Inc. (KCI) for their <br />assistance in the procurement process for landfill O&M. Mr. Lieske noted that <br />the County was currently contracted with Republic Services of Florida (Republic) <br />through December 31, 2024. Staff looked to start the procurement process early <br />to allow for any changes. <br />The second item, Mr. Lieske informed, was a request to enter into an agreement <br />with Republic to extend their contract by nine months to September 30, 2025, <br />with a 7% rate increase for those months; this would align the contract with the <br />County's fiscal year-end. <br />Indian River County Florida <br />Page 28 <br />
