ORDINANCE NO. 2023 - <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, SECTION 102.04, ORDER OF BUSINESS AGENDA <br />FOR COUNTY COMMISSION MEETINGS; TOGETHER WITH <br />AMENDING SECTION 901.03 DEFINITIONS IN ALPHABETICAL <br />ORDER; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, <br />REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Code of Indian River County sets forth the order of business for <br />the Board of County Commissioners to follow during the course of their County <br />Commission meetings, and <br />WHEREAS, the agenda for each meeting provides for an organized and <br />professional meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the increased growth of Indian River County and changes <br />occurring in state and local government, additional departments in the County have been <br />formed and some departments have seen their duties change; and <br />WHEREAS, because of these changes, the order of business as it appears on the <br />agenda must be changed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: <br />Section 102.04. - Order of business. <br />The order of business shall appear on the agenda as follows: <br />1. Call to order. <br />2. a. Moment of silent reflection for first responders and members of the <br />Armed Forces. <br />b. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Additions or deletions to the agenda/emergency items. <br />5. Proclamations and presentations. <br />6. Approval of minutes. <br />7. Information items from staff or commissioners not requiring board action. <br />8. Consent agenda. <br />9.
