7. Adjacent development activities shall be monitored <br />through the development 1 and approval process to ensure that <br />such activities do not negatively *rzeot the ^=s""^c=" on the <br />Project Site. x vegetative buffer shall be provided between the <br />Project Site and the adjacentproperties to sufficiently protect <br />listed animal species and their habitat from the adverse impacts of <br />adjacent land uses. <br />o. Management of the Project Site shall be coordinated with <br />the Department of Environmental eznteotiuo'o Aquatic Preserve Plan <br />and the St. Johns River Water Management District's swim Plan to <br />protect and enhance water quality within the Indian River Lagoon. <br />o. The water quality and ecological function of impounded <br />wetlands at the Project Site shall be enhanced through improvements <br />in water circulation, tidal replication, control of nuisance <br />vegetation and elimination of pollution sources. An ongoing <br />monitoring program abolI be conducted to study the results of <br />adaptive management strategies used on the Project Site. <br />Impoundment management shall be coordinated with other impoundments <br />along the Indian River Lagoon. <br />10. An ongoing monitoring and control program for invasive <br />exotic vegetation shall be implemented at the Project Site. The <br />Exotic peat Plant Council's List of Florida's Most Invasive Species <br />shall be used to identify invasive exotic vegetation oo the Project <br />Site. <br />zz. Prior to the commencement of any proposed development <br />activities, measures will be taken to determine the presence of any <br />archaeological sites. All planned activities involving komxo <br />archaeological sites or potential site areas shall be closely <br />coordinated with the Department of State, Division of Historic <br />Resources in order to prevent the disturbance of significant sites. <br />zz. pmuugcmeot of the Project Site shall be coordinated with <br />the Indian River County Mosquito Control District and the land <br />managers of other conservation and preservation lands in the <br />project area. <br />o. Pedestrian and bicycle access to the project Site shall <br />be promoted as an alternative to automobile transportation by <br />providing pedestrian walkways and/or bicycle parking stands. <br />z*.
