The Chamber's Tourism Division performs this function and oversees all industry activities <br />related to the attraction of visitors in an effort to generate the highest level of tourism -generated tax revenues and <br />economic impact for the county and its businesses. <br />The Chamber supports all program efforts by providing additional resources, as well as overhead for tourism programs <br />and services. Bed tax funds are used for Tourism staffing, marketing, advertising, public relations, production of the <br />Official Visitor Guide, five websites, Press Trips, trade/consumer shows, postage, shipping and professional fees, and <br />all other initiatives that will enhance and maintain the on-going success of the tourism marketing plan. <br />The Chamber maintains a program reinforcing our County's reputation as a destination that provides visitors with a <br />quality experience. Our professional, award-winning advertising and marketing campaigns portray Indian River County <br />as a safe, family -friendly destination and emphasize the unique characteristics of the county appealing to a variety of <br />targeted niche markets. Our technology-based <br />information, including county -wide tourism website and social media, continues to be updated, driving more visitor <br />traffic and enhancing the visitor experience in Indian River County. <br />For the FY 2023/2024 plan, we will continue to focus our efforts on digital advertising, remarketing, native content, <br />video, sponsored stories, social media, and public relations to create awareness and drive increased visitation to the <br />destination while putting more "heads on beads" and creating new co-op opportunities for our partners.
