Bids from Arkest, De La Hoz Builders, and So Cal Shaker Plates were <br />disqualified for lack of unit prices on the bid form. Unit prices are the basis of award, and <br />payment for completed work, per the bid and contract documents. <br />The design architect for the project, Spiezle, reviewed the responsive bids, and determined <br />Close Construction, to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, and has <br />recommended award to them. The Division concurs with this recommendation, and <br />received very favorable reviews from Close's provided references. <br />99 <br />
