4b <br />0 <br />Board of the Treasure Coast shall be forty-three (43). Thereafter, the number of members <br />of the Workforce Development Board shall be determined by the Board. <br />Members shall be appointed for fixed and staggered terms and may serve until their <br />successors are appointed. Terms of Workforce Development Board members shall be <br />three (3) years. Any vacancy in the membership of the Workforce Development Board <br />shall be filled in the same mariner as the original appointment. Members may be <br />reappointed for a successive term if the sponsoring organization agrees. Any member of <br />the Workforce Development Board may be removed for cause in accordance with <br />procedures established by the. Workforce Development Board. <br />A majority of the Workforce. Development Board shall be representatives of the <br />private sector, who shall be owners of businesses, chief executives or chief operating <br />officers of businesses, and other business executives or employers with optimum policy- <br />making or hiring authority or who represent businesses with employment opportunities <br />that reflect the employment opportunities of the local area. <br />Private sector nomination, and the individuals selected by the Treasure Coast <br />Workforce Consortium from such nominations, shall reasonably represent the industrial <br />and demographic composition of the busincss community. The Chairman of the <br />Workforce Development Board shall be selected from among members of the Board who <br />are representatives of the private sector. <br />The private sector representatives on the Workforce Development Board shall be <br />selected by the 'treasure Coast Workforce Consortium from individuals nominated by <br />general-purpose business organizations, such as chambers of commerce, economic <br />development agencies, business councils, and business trade organizations. <br />All nominations to the Workforce Development Board must be the CEO, or <br />manager or equivalent of their organization whether private or public. <br />The education representatives on the Workforce Development Board shall be <br />nominated by regional or local educational agencies, institutions or organizations <br />representing such local educational entities and appointed by the Treasure Coast <br />Workforce Consortium. <br />UvW t 1199. 1415199 5 <br />
