Architect, w .H.Uarns, having been employed in the matter of Court House construetior <br />an agreement between 1r. Uarns and this Board was duly executed for a fee of 4,% on the <br />sum of §589000.00 with the understanding that the sum of §1,000.00 is to be paid when <br />loon is secured. The original agreement being on file in the Clerk's office. <br />It was. ordered that Shirley Tappan, Vero Beach, be placed on the pauper list to <br />receive the sum of 06.00 per month. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board the <br />adjourned until vednesday, October 11th 1933. <br />it. Wednesday, October <br />11th 19332 <br />with <br />the <br />following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton;Chairman; J. <br />D. Yongue; <br />R. E. <br />Madge; John M. Knight and Edwin A. Helseth. <br />ffi lliam Frick, sheriff . <br />Also present were Miles warren, Clerk and <br />Commissioners Helseth and Hamilton reported they had met with the City Couneil of <br />Ve ro Beach the night b of o re and the City had agreed to give authority to the County <br />Commissioners to construct a Court House in Vero reach. <br />`t'1hb Gaun gvattorney having prepared the application for loan of 070,000.00 from the <br />Federal government, same was submitted to the Board of County Commissioners and duly <br />executede it was moved, seconded and carried that the Chairman; Commissioner Helseth; <br />Architect Ga,rns and the Clerk take the application to Tallahassee as soon as possible <br />and present the same to the proper authorities. <br />The mothers Pension application of Mrs. Anna Etters, Vabasso, was denied. <br />The Board then proceeded to canvass the returns of the special Election held `1'ues- <br />day9 October 10th, 1933, on the question of repeal or Retention of the Eighteenth <br />Amendment to the Constitution of the United 'Sta,tes, and same having .been property can- <br />Vassed the result thereof was properly certified, in duplicate, and transmitted to the <br />Governor and Re eretary of `3tate, as provided by law. <br />`there being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adj ov.rned. <br />A`t'.TES`P:a <br />4/ /e Cu21 ai rman <br />C 1 e r k. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />MONDAY2 OCTOBER 16th 1933. <br />fthe Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />Court House in Vero Beach, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.Nonday, October 16th 1933, with the <br />following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, Chairman; J .D.Yongue; x.E.Hudge; <br />John M.
