Tuesday, July 23, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, July 23, 1996, <br />at 9:30 a.m. Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn K. <br />Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Kenneth R. Macht; and John <br />W. Tippin. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; William G. Collins II, Deputy County Attorney; and <br />Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Adams called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and <br />apologized for the delay due to a loss of power in the building. <br />Auxiliary lighting is being provided by generators but the air <br />conditioning will be out until temporary repairs are made. <br />Commissioner Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Macht requested the additions: <br />7-E Resignation of Kathy Cigalo from the Children's <br />Services Advisory Committee and appointment of Jane <br />Coyle as her replacement. <br />13-D-1 Participation in Small County Coalition (Legislative <br />Network). <br />13-D-2 Letter from Lier Groves regarding North Jungle Trail. <br />Administrator Chandler requested the addition of Item 10, <br />modifications to the 1996-97 Budget, and deletion of 11-H-2, North <br />Beach Reverse Osmosis Plant. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the above additions and deletion to today's Agenda. <br />JULY 239 1996 1 B6 -9K, 98 577 <br />
