4D <br />• <br />1.04 PRODUCT HANDLING <br />Deliver- and Storage: Keep materials dry at all. times. <br />Protect against exposure to weather and contact with <br />damp or wet surfaces. Stack lumber and plywood, and <br />provide air circulation within stacks. <br />1.05 JOB CQgDITIQNS <br />Coordination: Fit carpentry work to other work; scribe <br />and cope as required and accurate fit. Correlate <br />location of furring, nailers, blacking, grounds and <br />similar supports to allow proper attachment of other <br />work. <br />PART Z .: PRODUCTS <br />2.01. WOOD PRODUCT QUALITY STANDARDS <br />A. Lumber standards:_ Comply with PS 20. <br />B. Plywood Standards: comply with Ps i. <br />C. Factory mark each piece of lumber and plywood with <br />type, grade, mill and grading agency, except omit <br />marking from surfaces to be exposed with transparent <br />finish or without finish. <br />2.02 MATERIALS <br />A. Nominal sizes are indicated, except as shown by <br />detail dimensions. Provide actual sizes as required <br />by PS 20, for moisture content specified for each <br />use. Provide dressed lumber, SAS, unless otherwise <br />indicated. Provide seasoned lumber with 10%- maximum <br />moisture content at time of dressing. <br />B. —Framing Lumber: (2" through i" thick) <br />C. For light framing (less than 6" wide), provide the <br />following grade and species: <br />Construction grades, any species. <br />D. Miscellaneous Lumber: Provide wood for support or <br />attachment of other work including cant Strips, <br />bucks, nailers, blocking, furring, grounds, <br />stripping, and similar members, provide lumber of <br />sizes shown or specified, worked into shapes shown, <br />and as follows: <br />Moisture content: 19k maximum for lumber items not <br />specified to receive wood preservative treatment. <br />R. Grade: Construction Grade light framing size lumber <br />of any species or board size lumber as required. <br />provide construction grade boards (RTS or WCLB) or <br />No. 2 boards (SPTB or WWPA). <br />06100-2 <br />
