4D <br />SECTION 01500 - TEMPORARY FACILITIES & CONTROLS <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 GENERAL <br />Refer to General Conditions for commitments which <br />result in requirements for Contractor to provide <br />temporary facilities as may be required for perform- <br />ance of the work and fulfillment of the Contract.. <br />This section specifies certain minimum temporary <br />facilities to be provided regardless of methods and <br />means selected for performance of the work, but not <br />by way of limitation and not assured for compliance <br />with governing regulations. Use of alternate <br />temporary facilities is Contractor's option, r-h_ject <br />to Owner's acceptance. Temporary facilities is <br />defined to exclude tools and construction machines, <br />testing, demolition, alterations, soil borings, <br />mock-ups and similar items. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 DEWATERING <br />Maintain site and construction work free of water <br />accumulation. Do not endanger the work or adjacent <br />properties. Maintain protection against flooding. <br />Protect existing drainage systems. <br />2.02 TEMPORARY POWER DISTRIBUTION <br />Provide weatherproof, grounded circuits with ground - <br />fault interruption feature, with proper power <br />characteristics and either permanently wired or <br />plug-in connections as appropriate for intended use. <br />Provide overload -protected disconnect switch for <br />each circuit at distribution panel. Space 4 -gang <br />convenience outlets (20 Amp circuit) so that every <br />portion of work can be reached with a 100 -foot <br />extension cord. <br />2.03 TEMPORARY LIGHTING <br />Provide lighting of intensity and quality sufficient <br />for proper and safe performance of the work, and for <br />access thereto. <br />2.04 TEMPORARY DRIVES <br />Where feasible, use subbase and base construction of <br />permanent drives and paving as temporary paved con- <br />struction areas; and delay installation of finish <br />01500-1, <br />
