171 <br />11 <br />i <br />CONTRACTOR'S responsibilities wader the Contract Documents with respectto the review of t'• <br />submission and will be identified clearly as to material, Supplier, per n.,rit data such -s catalog <br />numbers and the use for which intended. <br />6.30 Before submission of each Sinop Drawing or sample CONTRACTOR shall have determined and <br />verified all quantities, dimensions, specified performance criteria, installation requirements, materials, <br />catalog numbers and similar data with respect thereto and reviewed or coordinated each Shop Drawing <br />or sample with other Shop Drawings and samples and with the requirements of the Work and the <br />Contract Documents. <br />�I <br />5.31 At the time of each submission, CONTRACTOR shall give ENGINEER specific written notice of <br />each variation that the Shop Drawings or samples may have from the requirements of the Contract <br />Documents, and in addition, shall cause a specific notation to be mads on each Shop Drawing <br />submitted to ENGINEER for review of each such variation. <br />5.32 ENGINEER will review with reasonable promptness Shop drawings and samples, but ENGINEER's <br />review will be only for conformance with the design concept of the project and for compliance with <br />the information given in fire Contract Documents and shall not extend to means, methods, techniques, <br />sequences or procedures of ctxistnictionn (except where a specific means, methods, technique, sequence <br />or procedure of construction is indicated in or required by the Contract Documents) or to safety <br />precautions or programs incident thereto. The review of a separate item as such will not indicate <br />review of the assembly in which the item functions. CONTRACTOR shall make corrections required <br />by ENGINEER, and shall return the required number of corrected copies of Shop Drawings and <br />submit as required new samples for review. CONTRACTOR shall direct specific attention in writing <br />to revisions other than the corrections colied for by ENGINEER on previous submittals. <br />5.33 ENGINEER's review of Shop Drawings or samples shall not relieve CONTRACTOR from <br />responsibility for any variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless <br />CONTRACTOR has in writing called ENGINEER's attention to each such variation at the One of <br />subrrussion as required by paragraph 5.31 and ENGINEER Inas given written review each such <br />variation by a specific written notation thereof incorporated in or accompanying the Shop Drawing or <br />sample review; nor will any review by ENGINEER relieve CONTRACTOR from responsibility for <br />errors or omissions in the Shop Drawings or from responsibility for having complied with the <br />provisions of paragraph 6.30. <br />6.34 Where a Shop Drawing or sample is required by the Specifications, any related Work performed prior <br />to ENGINEER's review of the pertinent submission will be the sole expense and responsibility of <br />CONTRACTOR, <br />i t Continuing the. Work: <br />t 6,35 CONTRACTOR shall carry on the Work and adhere to rhe progress schedule during all disputes or <br />P disagreements with OWNER. No Work shall be delayed or postponed pending resolution of any <br />disputes or disagreernerts, except as pennitted by paragraph 15.5 or as CONTRACTOR and OWNER <br />may otherwise agree in writing. <br />4� <br />Indemnification: <br />5.36 The CONTRACTOR shall meld harnnless, indemnify and defend the OWNER, the OWNER's <br />Representative, the ENGINEER, and their consultants• and each of their officers, employees and <br />agents harmless from all casts, losses, expenses, damages• attorneys' fees, and other costs, including <br />all costs of defense, which any of thein may incur with respect to the failure, neglect, or refusal of <br />CONTRACTOR to faithfully perform tho work and all of the CONTRACTOR's obligations runder <br />r4 <br />UNERAL CONDITIONS <br />GC — 17 <br />
