be required to make its several parts come together property and integrate with such other work. <br />CONTRACTORshall nut endanger any work of others by others by cutting, excavating or otherwise <br />altering their work and will only cut or alter their work with the written consent of ENGINEER and <br />�y the others whose work will be affected. The duties and responsibilities of CONTRACTOR under this <br />paragraph are for the benefit of such utility owners and other contractors to the extent that there are <br />comparable provisions for the benefit of CONTRACTOR in said direct contracts between OWNER <br />and such utility owners and other contractors. <br />7.3 If anypart of CONTRACTOR's Work depends for proper execution or results upon the work of any <br />stick other contractor or utility owner (or OWNER), CONTRACTOR shall inspect and promptly <br />report to ENGINEER in writing any delays, defects or deficiencies ill such work that render it <br />unavailable or unsuitable for such proper execution and results. CONTRACTOR's failure to report <br />will omstitute an acceptance of the other work as fit and proper for integration with <br />CONTRACTOR's Work except for latent or nonapparent defects and deficiencies its the outer work. <br />Coordination.- <br />7.4 <br />oordination:7.4 If OWNER contracts with others for the performance of other work on the Project at the site, the <br />person or organization who will have authority and responsibility for coordination of the activities <br />among the various prime contractors will be identified in the Supplementary Conditions, and tine <br />specific matters to be covered by such authority and responsibility will be itennized, and the extent of <br />such authority and responsibilities will be provided, in the Supplementary Conditions. Unless. <br />otherwise provided in the Supplementary Conditions, neither OWNER nor ENGINEER shall [lave any <br />authority or responsibility in respect of such coordination. <br />6HTI '[.E 8 - CIIVN .li'S gt_ 5Y�? <br />8.1 OWNER shall issue all communications to CONTRACTOR through ENGINEER. <br />8.2 In case oftertnittation of the employment of ENGINEER, OWNER shall appoint an engineer against <br />whom CONTRACTOR makes no reasonable objection, whose status under the Contract Documents <br />shall be that of the former ENGINEER. Any dispute in connection with such appointment shall be <br />subject to arbitration. <br />�t 8.3 OWNER shall furnish the data required of OWNER under file Contract Documents promptly and shall <br />make payments to CONTRACTOR promptly after they are clue as provided inn paragraphs 14.4 and <br />14.13. <br />8.4 OWNER's duties in respect of providing lands mid easements and providing engineering surveys to <br />establish reference points are scat forth at paragraphs 4.1 and 4.1[1. Paragraph 4.2 refers to OWNER's <br />identifying and making available to CONTRACTOR copies of reports of explorations and tests of <br />subsurface conditions at the site and in existing straetures which have been utilized by ENGINEER <br />in preparing the Drawings and Specifications. <br />8 5 OWNER's responsibilities in respect of purchasing mid maintaining liability and property insurance <br />are set forth in paragraphs 5.5 acid 5.12. <br />8.6 OWNER is obligated to execute Change Orders as indicated in paragraph 10.4. <br />8.7 OWNER's responsibility in respect of certain inspections, tests and approvals is set forth in paragraph <br />13.4. <br />0 <br />I <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />GC - 19 <br />
