Emergency <br />Management reports the winds will remain at 20mph to 25mph until <br />later in the afternoon but, storm activity has terminated. F.nrcrgency <br />Services Director announces that all bridges to the harrier island will <br />be opened at 7:00am. Also, all shelter activity will terminate at <br />7:00am and all evacuee~ will be released. <br />9- I5-99, 6:00am Emerpency Management broadcasts update from the BCC <br />Chambers. Public is notified that the hurricane has moved northwest <br />over the night and no longer posses a threat to Indian River County. <br />Public is advised that all bridges will be opened at 7:00am and <br />although the wind will remain at 2 irriph for most of the day, no <br />l'urthcr storm activity is expected. Next broadcast will be at 9:00am. <br />9-15-99, 7:00arn All road% in the county arc open and the public can travel freely_ <br />Shelters are closed by the American Red Cross and the Indian River <br />County School District. Special heeds begins transport of evacuees <br />back to their homes. Public is advised that the county continues to recover. <br />Public is advised that all LOC activities have terminated and the <br />county is back to normal operation. <br />9-15-99, 10:00am Emergency Management receives report that a portion of north AIA <br />has been washed out and impassable.
