C-1 <br />L-1 <br />40 <br />40 <br />SECTION l D -TEMPORARY EAC LITIES AND CON'T'ROLS <br />I. GENERAL: <br />The Contractor shall bear the cost of providing, maintaining and operating any <br />and all temporary facilities. <br />2. ELECTRICAL POWER: <br />Electrical power is available to the Contractor at the site via a temporary <br />construction meter. The Contractor will arrange and pay for temporary electrical <br />service from the local power company. <br />3. WATER SERVICE: <br />Temporary water required for testing of water main construction shall be obtained <br />via a construction meter tapped into existing water mains. <br />4. TELEPHONE SERV ICE: <br />Not considered required for this project. If Contractor elects to have telephone <br />service at the .job site, Contractor shall arrange and pay for temporary telephone <br />service. <br />5. WORKMEN'S TOILETS AND DRINKING FACILITIES: <br />The Contractor shall provide and maintain sufficient toilet facilities for his own <br />and sub -contractor forces. <br />6. SECURITY: <br />A. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining his own security force, <br />in areas of new construction, by whatever means is required to project his <br />work and materials at the site. <br />B. Any security required by the Contractor shall be provided at his own <br />expense. <br />7. SPECIAL CONTROLS At41) BAIT RIC,RS: <br />A. Physical barriers shall he installed by the Contractor between the areas of <br />construction at the site and the surrounding properties in such form as may <br />be required to insure the protection of life anti property. <br />B. Barriers, controls security fencing and railings necessary for protection of <br />surrounding property shall be the responsihility of the Contractor and shall <br />be iii confwrntianLr to iocal and state regulation." as well w% O.S.II.A. <br />Standards. <br />I Ii <br />
