f <br />Ir <br />C> <br />�bin paragraph 6.25.2 or 6.25.3 caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by CONTRAC"T"OR, <br />and Subcontmetor, Supplier or any other person or organization directly or indirectly employed by <br />any of them to perform or furnish any of the Work or anyone for whose acts any of them may be <br />liable, shall be remedied by CONTRACTOR (except damage or loss attributable to the fault of <br />Drawings or Specifications or to the acts or omissions of OWNER or ENGINEER or anyone <br />employed by either of them or anyone for whose acts either of them may be liable, and not <br />attributable, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, to the fault or negligence ofCONTRACTOR). <br />CONTRACTOR's duties and responsibilities for the safety and protection of the Work shall <br />continue until such time as all the Work is completed and ENGINEER has issued a notice to <br />OWNER and CONTRACTOR in accordance with paragraph 11.13 that the Work is acceptable <br />(except as otherwise expressly provided in connection with Substantial Completion).. <br />® 6,26 CONTRACTOR shall desigate a responsible representative at the site whose duty shall be the <br />prevention of accidents. This ,person shall be CON'TRACTOR's superintendent unless otherwise <br />designated in writing by CONTRACTOR to OWNER, <br />® Emergencies: <br />6.27 In emergencies affecting the safety or protection of persons or the Work or property at the site or <br />adjacent thereto, CONTRACTOR, without special instruction or authorization from ENGINEER or <br />OWNER, is obligated to act to prevent threatened damage, injury or loss CONTRACTOR shall give <br />ENGINEER prompt written notice that any significant changes in the Work or variations from the <br />Contract Documents have been caused thereby. If ENGINEER determines that a change in the <br />Contract Documents is required because of the action taken in response to an emergency, a''.'Vork <br />Directive Change or Change Order will be issued to document the consequences of the changes or <br />variations. <br />Shop Drawings and Samples: <br />6.28 After checking and verifying all field measurements and after complying with applicable procedures <br />specified in the General Requirements, CONTRACTOR shall submit to ENGINFMR for review in <br />accordance with the accepted schedule of Shop Drawing submissions (see paragraph 2.9), or for <br />other appropriate action if so indicated in the Supplementary Conditions, five (5) copies (unless <br />otherwise specified in the General Requireinents) of all Shop Drawings, which will bear a Stamp or <br />specific written indication that CONTRACTOR has satisfied CONTRACTOR's responsibilities <br />under the Contract Documents with respect to the review of the submission. All submissions will <br />be identified as LNGINVER may require. The data shown on the Shop Drawings will be complete <br />with respect to quantities, dimensions, specified perfonnance and design criteria, materials and <br />similar data to enable LNGINLER to review the information as required. <br />6.29 CONTRACTOR shall also submit to ENGINEER for review with such promptness as to cause nn <br />delay in Work, all samples required by the Contract Documents. All samples will have been <br />checked by and accompanied by a specific written indication that CON'T'RACTOR has salistied <br />CONTRACTOR's responsibilities under the Contract Documents with respect to the review of the <br />submission and will be identified clearly as to material, Supplier, pertincol Jaw such as catalog, <br />numbers and the use for which intended. <br />6.30 Before submission of each Shop Drawing or sample CONTRACTOR shall have detennined and <br />verified all quantities, dimensions, specified performance criteria, ttastallation requirements, <br />materials, catalog numbers and similar data with respect thereto and reviewed or coordinated each <br />Shop Drawing or sample with either Shop Drawings and samples and with the requirements of the <br />Work and the Contract Documents. <br />6MURA1. t'ONPI MON!,' <br />GC - 16 <br />
