She questioned whether Vista Plantation would be paying <br />25% and the $15,000 shown to Vista Plantation's credit in an escrow <br />account. <br />Director Davis explained that when Vista Plantation was <br />developed they had agreed not to connect to 26th Street. At that <br />time they agreed to escrow $15,625 even though they felt they would <br />not benefit from the project. Mrs. Adamson seems to be under the <br />impression that she is paying more than 25% but she is paying only <br />25%. The County is picking up 50% and the property owners on each <br />side are paying 25%. <br />Mrs. Adamson had no objection to paying $5,000 to $6,000 but <br />felt her current assessment is unfair. <br />Director Davis referenced a letter sent to property owners by <br />the County stating that the cost would be paid 50% by the County <br />and 50% by the property owners. The road is classified as a <br />collector road and serves the whole community in that area. <br />Chairman Adams questioned whether the property owners are able <br />to.pay the assessment on time, and Director Davis responded there <br />is a standard 2 year payment option after the road is completed. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard in this <br />,.matter.
