ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA / EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Moved: Item 13.A. after Item 7.13. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Flescher, seconded by Chairman Loar, to <br />approve the Agenda as amended. PROCLAMATIONS and PRESENTATIONS <br />5.A. 23-1089 Presentation of Proclamation Designating Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, <br />December 7, 2023 <br />Recommended Action: Recommend Read and Present <br />Attachments: Proclamation <br />Commissioner Earman gave thanks to all the veterans, those who were going to be <br />veterans, and those who were no longer with us, and thanked them for their service. <br />This was truly a date that would live in infamy. <br />Cynthia Ryan, Executive Director, Veterans Council of Indian River County, stated <br />that a brief ceremony would be held at the Heritage Center at 7:45 a.m. Following the <br />ceremony, a distinguished panel of Navy veterans and experts would lead a <br />discussion about Pearl Harbor and its impact.
