Zito, Deputy County Administrator <br />Cindy Emerson, Community Services Director <br />From: Amie Rutherford, Human Services Manager <br />Subject: 2024-2027 Children's Services Advisory Committee's Needs Assessment <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Children's Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) met on January 9, 2024 and accepted the Needs <br />Assessment Subcommittee's Recommendation to change the funding priorities for children's <br />services based on the outcomes of the 2024-2027 Needs Assessment. The 2024-2027 Needs <br />Assessment encompasses the following information: <br />• Names of members of CSAC Needs Assessment Subcommittee <br />• An explanation of the role of the subcommittee and how their work supports the service of <br />children in Indian River County <br />• An overview of Indian River County and its demographics <br />• A summary of the funding priorities as they were identified through the assessment and the <br />framework through which community impact can be monitored <br />• The data used to identify needs and drive the necessity for the priorities <br />The CSAC Needs Assessment Subcommittee met on the following dates listed below and worked <br />through the steps needed to complete the 2024-2027 CSAC Needs Assessment <br />• August 22, 2023: Collect Data (1.5 HOURS) <br />• September 11, 2023: Data Deep Dive (2 HOURS) <br />• November 8, 2023: Analyze Ordinance, Outcomes, & Priorities (6 HOURS) <br />• November 28, 2023: Identify NEW Priorities (4 HOURS) <br />• December 18, 2023: Organize & Define the Priority Framework (2 HOURS) <br />• January 5, 2024: Finalize Recommendation of Funding Priorities (1 HOUR) <br />154 <br />
