Work completed to reduce wildfire threat included <br />mechanical treatment, installation of firebreaks and prescribed burns as described in the Wildfire <br />Plan. Although the work was to be completed using a combination of private contractors and the <br />Florida Forest Service (FFS), due to scheduling conflicts and unavailability of FFS staff, the grant <br />was completed using private contractors. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />In order to allow for sufficient time to complete required inspections, forms, and other paperwork <br />required to close-out this grant, FDEM has provided a modification to Paragraph 8 of the original <br />subgrant agreement. The modification extends the duration of the grant to July 31, 2024.
