PROCLAMATIONS and PRESENTATIONS <br />5.A. 23-1089 Presentation of Proclamation Designating Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, <br />December 7, 2023 <br />Recommended action: Recommend Read and Present <br />Attachments: Proclamation <br />Commissioner Earman expressed his gratitude to all veterans, both past and present, <br />for their service and sacrifice. <br />Cynthia Ryan, Executive Director, Veterans Council of Indian River County, stated <br />that a brief ceremony would be held at the Heritage Center. Following the ceremony, <br />a distinguished panel of Navy veterans and experts would lead a discussion about <br />Pearl Harbor and its impact. This event was open to the public and free of charge. <br />Stephen Hume, Vice Chairman of the Veterans Council of Indian River County, <br />expressed his gratitude to the Board for commemorating this day.
