UW -95 -15 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />In the first quarter of 1996, the Indian River County Utilities <br />Department completed the master planned water line construction on <br />U.S. Highway #1, past the above -referenced site. The park owner <br />wishes to connect to the County water system. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The project consists of approximately 560 L.F. of 8" water main, <br />one fire hydrant and other various appurtenances. Project costs <br />are projected as follows: <br />*Driveways construction cost <br />*Materials - Davis Meter <br />loo contingence cost <br />$ 5,714.35 <br />3,900.00 <br />961.50 <br />Total $10,575.85 <br />Engineering, surveying and permitting $ 2.500.00 <br />Total $13,075.85 <br />*This work and materials are provided by our continuing service <br />providers. <br />The park has paid impact fees in the amount of $25,120.00 for this <br />connection, and will also pay the line extension fee of $11.25 per <br />from foot for approximately 357 L.F. for a total amount of <br />$4,016.25. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the project as outlined <br />above. Purchase orders will be issued for Driveways, Inc., and <br />Davis Meters, Inc.
