Exhibit I <br />Program income funds will be deposited in the county's affordable housing trust fund. <br />In the event of the death of the homeowner, an income -eligible heir may assume the county <br />SHIP loan as long as the home is utilized as the household's homesteaded property. <br />f. Recipient Selection Criteria: <br />Eligible applicants will be approved for assistance on a first qualified first served basis <br />subject to funding availability. Applicants will be chosen per the following criteria: <br />vi. Income Eligibility <br />vii. Employment Verification <br />viii. Asset Verification <br />ix. Disability Status <br />First-time applicants will be given priority over previously assisted persons. Property taxes <br />must be current, and property must be free of code enforcement liens. <br />g. Additional Information: <br />1. Property taxes and homeowner's insurance must be paid current unless these amounts <br />were being escrowed as part of the mortgage payment. <br />2. The property shall have no other liens other than the first mortgage or previous SHIP, <br />CDBG, or NSP liens. <br />3. No assistance will be provided to any property owner whose home is in the process of <br />foreclosure or who has delinquent tax liens or other liens, with the exception of a <br />previous SHIP, CDBG, or NSP lien against it. <br />- 27 - <br />135 <br />
