40 <br />E. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SUPPORT FACILITIES <br />1. Critical Facilities - Indian River County and its municipalities have <br />identified all critical facilities required for an immediate emergency <br />response following a major emergency/disaster event, and other <br />facilities or areas necessary to support recovery operations. <br />Several categories of critical facilities have been included. For <br />specific information, see the Critical Facilities Inventory attached <br />and identified as an Annex to this document. <br />2. Recovery Staging Areas <br />a. Materials and Supplies <br />1) Barber Street Sports Complex - <br />1115 Barber Street, Sebastian <br />2) Indian River County Fairgrounds - <br />7900 58th Avenue, Wabasso <br />3) City of Vero Beach Municipal Airport - <br />3400 Cherokee Drive, Vero Beach <br />b. Volunteers <br />1) Hobart Park <br />5350 77th Avenue, Wabasso <br />Disaster Field Offices (DFOs) <br />Following a major or catastrophic disaster that exceeds the <br />State's ability to respond, in which the Emergency or Major <br />Disaster Declaration is granted by the President, federal <br />assistance to disaster victims becomes available under three <br />program areas: Individual Assistance, Public Assistance, <br />and Hazard Mitigation. The administration of these <br />programs is coordinated through a joint federal/state effort <br />in a DFO, which is usually located in the impacted area. <br />The following areas have been pre -determined to house <br />DFOs: <br />Indian River County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Basic Page 48
